Our integrated approach combines the expertise of Registered Clinical Counsellors, Naturopathic Doctor who also offers acupuncture services, Certified Nutrition Coach, and Personal Trainer, to offer a comprehensive and personalized path to well-being.

We start by understanding your unique needs and goals, then tailor our treatments to support your journey towards balance and vitality. Our Registered Clinical Counsellors provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy to help you navigate life’s challenges and enhance mental wellness.

Our Naturopathic Doctor focuses on addressing the root causes of health issues, using natural therapies to restore balance and prevent illness. She also offers acupuncture, to harmonize energy flow and address a range of physical and emotional concerns.

Our Certified Nutrition Coach and Personal Trainer works with you to create personalized dietary plans and fitness plans that nourish your body and support your overall health.

Steps We Take

Counselling

Counselling is a process that requires patience. Rarely is there a quick fix to an individual, couple or families problems. However, by using a collaborative approach the counsellor helps the client(s) identify the source of their concerns or difficulties; then, together they find counselling approaches to help deal with the problems faced. This is what the counselling process will looks like.

  • Relationship building & Problem assessment

    • The counselling process begins with relationship building. Your counsellor will work with you to explore the issues that are directly affecting you.
    • Counselling is an ongoing collaborative approach whereby the counsellor will use a biopsychosocial approach to draw out information regarding any medical issues, social challenges and mental struggles the client is currently facing. This could include life, work, home, education. This information is crucial as it will help to identify triggers, environmental factors, stress levels and any other contributing factor that is causing distress.
  • (Commitment to action) Goal setting

    • The client and counsellor will work towards setting appropriate and realistic goals that will lead to the desired outcome.
  • Counselling intervention

    • The counsellor will select from a variety of different therapeutic approaches to help the client process their thoughts and emotions and build the necessary skills set to navigate current and future issues through a variety of different tools.
  • Evaluation, Referral or Conclusion

    • The overall goal of counselling is to give you the tools to be able to navigate life’s challenges on your own. Therefore the counsellor will work with you to identify when and how therapy will end, and what success for you looks like.
Steps We Take

Weight Loss & Nutritional Coaching

Weight loss and nutritional coaching is a supportive and collaborative process designed to help you create lasting lifestyle changes that feel realistic and sustainable. Rather than focusing on quick fixes or restrictive dieting, your practitioner will work alongside you to better understand your unique health needs, eating habits, stress levels, and wellness goals. Through personalized guidance, education, and ongoing encouragement, we aim to help you build a healthier relationship with food, improve overall wellbeing, and create meaningful changes that support long-term health and balance.

  • Health Questionnaire

    • Prior to your initial assessment you will be asked to complete a questionnaire that will help your practitioner begin to understand your current state.
  • Introductory Session

    • Your practitioner will meet with you to review your form and gain a better insight into your current health activity, and eating patterns, as well as your goals. Your initial session will conclude with some health education, empowerment & guided steps to start making lifestyle changes. 
  • Follow up sessions

    • Dawn will then tailor a plan specific to you around your goals and needs. She will work with you on a regular basis to help you achieve your goals.
  • Evaluation, Ongoing Support or Termination

    • At the end of your program, your nutrition coach/personal trainer will work with you to evaluate your progress and together you will determine if your program needs to be revised or ongoing. Once you’ve reached your goals, you will have the opportunity to continue with random checkins, or you will be given support to continue independently.

Naturopathic Care

Naturopathic care focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of health concerns through a personalized and holistic approach. By combining evidence-informed natural therapies, lifestyle guidance, and patient-centered care, we work to support your body’s natural ability to heal and restore balance. Our goal is to help you achieve long-term wellness through sustainable habits, preventive care, and individualized treatment plans tailored to your unique needs.

  • Comprehensive Intake and Assessment

    • Your care begins with a thorough and detailed intake. We will review your current symptoms, health history, family history, and relevant lifestyle and psychosocial factors. This conversation is an important opportunity to understand the full picture of your health.
    • Dr. Ali will ask in-depth questions to better understand your concerns and encourages you to ask questions at any point during the process.
    • When appropriate, laboratory testing may be requisitioned. For more complex cases, you may be provided a list of recommended investigations to consider with time to consider them. There is never pressure to complete expensive testing. Physical examinations may also be performed during the initial visit when clinically relevant.
  • Building Your Treatment Plan

    • Following your appointment, Dr. Ali carefully reviews all collected information to develop a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan.
    • Plans are detailed and designed to provide you with both clear direction and a strong understanding of your care options, allowing you to make informed decisions about your health.
    • Your treatment plan will be delivered securely through the Jane App or via email, depending on your preference.
  • Plan Review and Adjustment

    • After you have had time to review your treatment plan, we will meet to discuss implementation. This visit allows for clarification, refinement, and adjustment of the plan to ensure it aligns with your needs, preferences, and goals.
  • Implementation Phase

    • You will follow your treatment plan over a defined period of time. This phase is focused on applying the recommended strategies and observing how your body responds.
  • Follow-Up and Ongoing Support

    • Follow-up appointments are an essential part of the process. During these visits, we assess your progress, identify what is working well, and adjust areas that may need refinement.
    • Treatment plans evolve over time, this may include introducing new strategies, modifying existing ones, or transitioning to maintenance as your health improves. Supplements or interventions targeting resolved concerns may be reduced or discontinued.
    • These visits also provide ongoing guidance, support, and accountability to help you stay on track.
